Accessibility Statement

DermCharm is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities.

Our Commitment

We believe that skincare knowledge should be available to everyone, regardless of ability. DermCharm is actively working towards full compliance with international accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.

While our website is not yet perfect, we are making continuous improvements. Our commitment is to make DermCharm fully accessible for all readers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and worldwide in the near future.

What We Are Doing

Keyboard Navigation

Ensuring all menus, forms, and interactive elements can be accessed using only a keyboard.

Alt Text on Images

Adding descriptive alternative text to product photos, guides, and icons.

Color Contrast

Reviewing text and background colors for readability in both light and dark mode.

Screen Reader Support

Using ARIA labels and semantic HTML so assistive technologies can interpret our content.

Scalable Text

Ensuring font size and layout adapt properly when users zoom in on the page.

Continuous Testing

Using accessibility tools such as WAVE, axe, and Google Lighthouse to monitor progress.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully optimized for accessibility. For example:

  • Some third-party plugins (such as embedded product widgets or ad placements) may not be fully accessible.
  • Certain older blog posts may lack complete image descriptions.
  • Some animations or hover effects may not behave consistently across assistive technologies.

We are aware of these issues and actively working on solutions.

We Value Your Feedback

Accessibility is a journey, and your feedback helps us improve. If you encounter any barriers on DermCharm, please contact us.

Compliance Standards

Our goal is to align DermCharm with:

  • WCAG 2.1 Guidelines (Level AA)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • UK Equality Act 2010
  • Canadian Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
  • Australian Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)

By following these standards, we aim to make DermCharm a welcoming space for everyone worldwide.
